You get on the bus.
I meet you by the job centre.
We send you back into town.
£57.35 is a new work in progress, made by Selina (Natalie) Thompson and her Dad, Delroy (Lorenzo) Thompson. It’s about the job centre, retirement, Aston Expressway in Birmingham, and Dewsbury Road in Leeds. It’s about white vans, high streets and unemployment. But mostly, it’s about Del and Sel, meeting each other at bus stops, and worrying about each other.
‘£57.35’ has been developed as Part 2 of The Job Centre Project.
It was performed in 2014 as part FIERCE Festival in Birmingham.
