We’re a company that is committed to the marginalised: to people who are working class, to those who have disabilities, to People of Colour, to Womxn, to people who identify on the LGBTQIA spectrum, to elders and children, to people with chronic illnesses, to those with complicated immigration status.

Background:
Selina Thompson Ltd is a recipient of Arts Council England Elevate funding. The Elevate programme aims to improve the resilience of organisations making a significant contribution to the Arts Council’s Creative Case for Diversity, to encourage an increase of diverse led organisations within the National Portfolio

The five main aims of our Elevate delivery plan are:

  1. Building Organisational Resilience by creating a well-resourced company structure that increases capacity and develops expertise, as well as evolving company governance and developing the skills of the board.
  2. Building Long Term Resilience by developing a new business plan with a focus on NPO, and with company Wellbeing & Access model access at its heart.
  3. Building Social Resilience by partnership building in Birmingham for stability and engagement and on national stage to build profile and critical context.
  4. Building Economic Resilience by diversifying and increasing income streams.
  5. Building Environmental Resilience by exploring and developing our strategic role, base, and engagement in Birmingham, including but not limited to exploring the potential of a permanent space for the company.

About the role:
We’re looking for a consultant who has experience working with NPO organisations, Arts Council’s Let’s Create strategy, and disability-led organisations, to lead on our business planning in collaboration with the four members of our company and stakeholders, including Elevate partner organisations and our Board.
