First posted on Instagram

A funny person delivered us this beautiful question about TWINE – “What’s with the bloody eggs??”

And we suspect they said out loud what a lot of people have been thinking! So here’s the answer, for those who aren’t on Instgram…

"Set in a forest of bloody eggs, ghost family members, vaudeville politicians and broken TVs, Twine is how Seed, Bark and Sapling liberated themselves and each other from a legacy of shame, violence and silence. Irreverent and full of yearning, Twine offers a unique odyssey into all that our families are, and all that they could be.

Twine is set in both a real and imagined forest of family trees. In the spirit of telling a folkloric tale, the "bloody eggs" represent some of the different taboos related to adoption.Hands holding eggs, a hoover hose on top and egg white running into a plastic tub. Text reads "We literally made bloody eggs thanks for Jade and Florence who perfected the recipe. Yes, Hoovers were used. Do not try this at home!"Test reads "Catch Twine to see us break some eggs / taboos surrounding adoption. We'll be at the Legacy Centre on 16-19 October."
