After the first Fierce Festival performance of Twine, at Birmingham’s Legacy Centre, we’ve got questions about the original music! This post is for the musical theatre fans and to shout out our composer, Brummie legend, Reisz Amos aka Odd Priest. 💚

If you want to get into it even more, see the TWINE INSPO Spotify playlist

But we promise you, between this little segment of a warm up, and what you’ve heard on the trailer, the music is even better live!

Text: What inspired the original music behind Twine?

Photo of the Twine cast on set. Text reads "While Twine isn't a musical like Annie or Oliver Twist (both which centre adoption stories), Twine has original music that facilities stand-out moments in the play. Most notably the somewhat comical, vaudeville 'social worker' section which pays homage to musicals like Cabaret and West Side Story.

Text reads "As for inspiration? Reisz was given an idea pool by Selina and complete autonomy to run with the vision. You can find this playlist in the link in our bio. Or you can come along to the Legacy Centre of Excellence on 16-19 October to hear Twine's original music live!
